FAQ

FAQ

Will my data be uploaded to a server? +
No. JSONSort is a pure frontend app—all parsing, formatting, and encryption run locally in your browser. Data never leaves your device.
Which file formats can I import? +
Supports .json, .json5, .txt, .csv, .xml, .sql, .xlsx, .xls, .lottie, and more—or paste text directly.
Where is local history stored? +
History is stored in browser localStorage on this device only. Open it from the history icon in the workspace toolbar.
How large a JSON file can it handle? +
Depends on browser memory; multi-MB JSON is usually fine. For very large files, use Merge & Clean to drop redundant fields first.
Do I need to install or sign up? +
No. Open the page and use every feature—no account, no install, and no network required after the first load.

Zero data leaks

Pure frontend architecture—why we need local-first tools

01. True sandbox

All parsing, formatting, and encryption runs in JavaScript inside your local sandbox. Your data, keys, and business logic never touch any server.

02. Millisecond response

Without network latency, the toolkit delivers true type-and-see feedback—from huge log streams to complex config objects, the browser engine renders fast.

03. Open & transparent

All logic runs in the browser with clear, auditable code. No third-party trackers and no behavioral analytics.

04. Offline ready

After the first load, assets cache locally so you can format JSON, decode JWT, and convert YAML offline.
